Philippe d’Orgeval was named deputy group CIO at Amundi, a spokesperson confirmed.
D’Orgeval will take over from Matteo Germano, who has been deputy group CIO and a member of the €2 trillion ($2.22 trillion) money manager’s general management committee and executive committee since February 2022.
Germano has decided to pursue other projects but will continue to "share his vision for the benefit of the Amundi Group," the spokesperson said. He will also remain as president of KBI — Kleinwort Benson Investors — an institutional investment manager that Amundi has held a majority stake in since 2016.
D'Orgeval's appointment as deputy group CIO is effective immediately, but is still pending regulatory approvals.
D’Orgeval is CEO of Amundi in the U.K., and will remain in the role in the interim, the spokesperson said. He was named as U.K. CEO at Amundi in December 2020 and joined from AXA Investment Managers.
