Vincent Mortier was appointed group CIO and Matteo Germano was appointed deputy CIO at Amundi, the firm said in a statement Wednesday.
Mr. Mortier, who served as group deputy CIO since 2015, succeeds Pascal Blanque, who becomes chairman of the newly created Amundi Institute, also announced Wednesday.
Mr. Mortier sits on several Amundi management committees and supervisory boards, the statement said.
Mr. Germano's former duties as head of the multiasset investment platform will be divided between John O'Toole, who was named head of multiasset investment solutions, and Francesco Sandrini, who was named head of multiasset strategies.
Previously, Mr. O'Toole was global head of multiasset fund solutions and Mr. Sanrini oversaw multiasset balanced, income and real return strategies, Amundi said.
Mr. Blanqué, the outgoing group CIO, will oversee the new Amundi Institute formed to bring Amundi's research, market strategy and asset allocation advisory activities together to help clients better understand Amundi's investment convictions, according to the statement. Monica Defend was named head of Amundi Institute.
