Frank Tsui was appointed head of responsible investment development for Asia ex-Japan at Amundi in Hong Kong, effective Jan. 2.
He leads advocacy initiatives for responsible investment and drives strategies locally and regionally across all business segments and client units, a statement said.
Amundi has around €2.2 trillion ($2.32 trillion) in assets under management. The role is newly created, a spokesperson said. Tsui functionally reports to Timothee Jaulin, head of responsible investment development and advocacy, and reports locally to Eddy Wong, CEO of Asia, the spokesperson said.
Tsui joined from Value Partners, where he was employed for nearly 10 years and most recently was a managing director, head of ESG investment and co-head of client portfolio management.
Value Partners had $5.4 billion in assets under management as of Sept. 30. A spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
