Barry Glavin was named head of equity investment platform at Amundi, effective immediately.
Glavin is based in Dublin. Amundi's assets under management in equities was €467 billion ($515.4 billion) at the end of 2023, including both passive and active management.
Glavin replaced Kasper Elmgreen, who joined Nordea Asset Management in August as chief investment officer for fixed income and equities.
The manager also said that Vafa Ahmadi, head of thematic equities at Amundi subsidiary CPR Asset Management, is taking on an expanded role to oversee global thematic equity at Amundi. There will be no replacements at Amundi following this move.
Glavin was chief investment officer of State Street Global Advisors' fundamental value equities team, holding the role until May last year. State Street Global Advisors has been contacted for comment regarding Glavin’s replacement.
