Dominique Carrel-Billiard was named head of real and alternative assets at Amundi Asset Management, a spokesman confirmed.
Mr. Carrel-Billiard replaces Pedro Antonio Arias, who has left the group for an entrepreneurial project, a news release said.
Based in Paris, Mr. Carrel-Billiard retains his role as deputy CEO of Amundi. He was also head of institutional clients, a post taken on by Jean-Jacques Barberis who was previously deputy head of institutional client coverage.
Mr. Barberis will also oversee ESG for Amundi, replacing Frederic Samama, the spokesman said. The spokesman said Mr. Samama "is still within Amundi" at wholly owned money manager CPR Asset Management. Further details were not immediately available.
The real and alternative assets business, which includes real estate, private debt, private equity and infrastructure, has €55 billion ($64.9 billion) in assets under management.
Amundi runs a total of €1.6 trillion in assets.
