American Century Investments lifted out a total-return bond portfolio management team from Aberdeen Standard Investments.
The team, which joined American Century earlier this month, is led by Lynn Chen, who was named vice president and senior portfolio manager, spokeswoman Justin Emily Wills confirmed.
Other members of the team are Rajat Ahuja, portfolio manager and senior sovereign analyst; Svetlin Krastev, portfolio manager and senior corporate analyst; and Michael Waggaman, portfolio manager and senior securitized analyst.
The four-member team manages American Century's new Total Return Bond strategy. It is an intermediate-duration fixed-income strategy that invests in a diversified portfolio of U.S. investment-grade debt securities with the option to invest up to 40% of the portfolio in non-U.S. securities in both developed and emerging markets.
The team reports to John Lovito and Charles Tan, both senior vice presidents and global fixed income co-chief investment officers.
American Century Investments has $245 billion in assets under management. As of June 30, the firm had $46 billion in global fixed income AUM.
Aberdeen Standard spokesman Guy Nicholls could not be immediately reached for further information.
