Ann Miletti was named chief diversity officer at Allspring Global Investments and Sonya Rorie was named deputy chief diversity officer, the company announced in a news release Wednesday.
The appointments were made as Allspring created a chief diversity office to "further promote diversity, equity and inclusion throughout the organization and industry," Allspring said in the release.
Ms. Miletti, who will continue as head of active equity, will "oversee and develop the strategy and direction of Allspring's global DEI efforts," the release noted.
Ms. Miletti will report to Joseph Sullivan, Allspring chairman and CEO, while Ms. Rorie will report to Ms. Miletti, the release said.
Ms. Rorie was a client relations director at Allspring's institutional client group where she managed "key corporate and endowment and foundation client accounts," the release said.
A spokesman for Allspring said by email that Ms. Rorie "will spend the remainder of April transitioning her relationships to others on Allspring's institutional client group team. Starting in May, she will be full time in her new role with the chief diversity office."
Allspring, formerly Wells Fargo Asset Management, had $575 billion in assets under management as of Dec. 31.
