Neil Brown was named head of U.K. distribution at Allianz Global Investors, a spokeswoman said Wednesday.
The role is new. Mr. Brown will lead wholesale, institutional, consultant relations and investment trust businesses in the U.K. starting in mid-November.
"I am confident that Neil's experience in distribution management, U.K. sales across all segments and his strong knowledge of the changing regulatory landscape, will help further strengthen our position in the U.K. across wholesale and institutional markets," Barbara Rupf-Bee, head of Europe, Middle East and Africa at AllianzGI said in a news release Wednesday.
Mr. Brown joins AllianzGI from M&G where he held multiple roles including head of U.K. retail and institutional sales, as well as director, global distribution management. A spokesman could not be reached to provide details of his replacement.
Allianz Global Investors has €538 billion ($636.8 billion) in assets.
