AllianceBernstein has promoted two senior executives to its responsible investing business.
Sharon E. Fay was named chief responsibility officer, while Michelle Dunstan will be global head of responsible investing, spokeswoman Jennifer Casey confirmed in an email.
Ms. Fay's position is new, while Ms. Dunstan replaces Linda C. Giuliano, who has moved into a senior adviser role and will leave the firm at the end of the second quarter.
Ms. Fay will lead the firm's responsible investing strategy and look at how responsible investing can be further implemented in the firm's day-to-day operations.
Ms. Dunstan will partner with Ms. Fay overseeing AllianceBernstein's responsible investing strategy, which includes driving the firm's research and stewardship activities, integrating responsible investing into investment decisions and embedding the philosophy of responsible investing into the firm's culture.
Both executives will take on their new roles in the middle of the year.
Ms. Dunstan is a portfolio manager for the firm's global ESG improvers portfolio and a senior research analyst for the value portfolios, while Ms. Fay is currently co-head of equities. Ms. Dunstan will remain a portfolio manager, but the firm is currently searching for a replacement senior research analyst. Christopher Hogbin, co-head of equities, will become sole head of equities.
