Alexander Hoffmann was named head of global financial intermediaries business at AllianceBernstein, a spokeswoman said.
Mr. Hoffmann replaces Jose Cosio, who left the company last year. Mr. Cosio was named managing director and head of intermediary for Europe, Middle East and Africa as well as Latin America at Neuberger Berman.
Mr. Hoffmann is responsible for global relationships and works closely with local management and sales teams around the world. He joined the company in 2014.
"Alex has been instrumental in building our partnerships with key financial institutions in Europe and I am confident that his experience and structured approach will help us develop further," Jamie Hammond, CEO of AllianceBernstein in EMEA, said in a news release.
Replacing Mr. Hoffman in his previous role is Markus Rottler, who was named director of sales in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. He reports to Martin Dilg, head of wholesale for the region.
Mr. Rottler previously worked at Macquarie Investment Management, where he oversaw wholesale distribution in Germany. Details of his replacement could not be immediately learned.
