Onur Erzan will join AllianceBernstein as head of its global client group, effective Jan. 4, a spokeswoman said.
Mr. Erzan will replace Robert Keith, who will become an adviser to the firm in January and retire from AllianceBernstein on June 30. During that period, Mr. Keith will assist in the transition of group leadership, the spokeswoman said. Mr. Keith joined AllianceBernstein in 1996.
Mr. Erzan, who plans to work out of the firm's Nashville, Tenn., headquarters, will be responsible for all client services, sales and marketing. He will also oversee global product strategy, management and development.
He will report to Seth Bernstein, president and CEO.
"We are confident that Onur will bring a valued perspective on strategy and growth, and his broad viewpoint will help (AllianceBernstein) plan for change in our industry," Mr. Bernstein said in a news release.
Mr. Erzan will join from McKinsey & Co., where he is a senior partner and co-leader of the firm's wealth management and asset management practice. He also co-leads McKinsey's banking and securities solutions globally. Spokesmen at McKinsey could not immediately be reached for comment.
AllianceBernstein had $631 billion in assets under management as of Sept. 30.
