Anne Coupe was named global head of consultant relations and global financial institutions at Aegon Asset Management, the company said Wednesday in a news release.
The position is new. Ms. Coupe will manage a four-person team to expand on the firm's investment consultant and institutional asset manager relationships. She will be based in Chicago and report to Chris Thompson, Aegon Asset Management's global head of client group.
Ms. Coupe was managing director, head of global consultant relations at BMO Global Asset Management. Her responsibilities are being redistributed and assumed at the regional level among BMO Global Asset Management’s consultant relations professionals, confirmed spokeswoman Melissa Murphy.
The appointment of Ms. Coupe comes after the firm's June 30 announcement that it appointed Russ Morrison as global CIO for fixed income.
Aegon spokesman Bradley Dawson could not be reached for comment.
Aegon Asset Management manages $395 billion in assets.
