Christopher Thompson was named interim CEO of Aegon Asset Management U.S., spokesman Bradley Dawson said.
Mr. Thompson replaced Gary Black, who left the company. Mr. Thompson is head of U.S. distribution. He will continue to serve in this role.
The company has not yet begun searching for a permanent replacement, Mr. Dawson confirmed.
Aegon Asset Management U.S. is an institutional asset manager that had $97 billion in assets under management as of March 31.
