Clifford Corso was named president and chief investment officer at Advisors Asset Management.
As CIO, he replaces Scott Colyer, who will remain CEO, a spokesman said Monday in an email. The position of president is new, he said.
Mr. Corso was previously executive chairman, North America, at Insight Investment, the release said. He had joined the BNY Mellon subsidiary in 2015 after that firm's purchase of Cutwater Asset Management, where he was CEO and CIO. BNY Mellon spokeswoman Margaret Gaenzle could not be immediately reached for further information.
Advisors Asset Management has $3.4 billion in assets under management.
