Mark Curtis joined currency manager Adrian Lee & Partners as head of sales and marketing.
The firm also appointed Robert Brown as an international economist. Whether the positions are new was not available.
Based in London, Mr. Curtis focuses on business development for the firm's currency and fixed-income strategies, as well as for its Global Macro Alpha Fund.
Mr. Brown supports the firm's macro research and quantitative analysis, a news release said.
The firm has more than $13 billion in assets under management.
Mr. Curtis was global head of sales for Mariner Investment Group, the news release said. A spokesman said he was not replaced.
Mr. Brown was part of Morgan Stanley Bank's rates strategy team, said a spokesman for Adrian Lee.
