Robert Penaloza, Sydney-based head of Australian equities with Aberdeen Standard Investments, will transfer to Bangkok to become the money manager's head of Thailand.
Mr. Penaloza replaces Korawut Leenabanchong, who left the firm at the end of April, a Hong Kong-based spokeswoman for Aberdeen Standard Investments said Monday.
The spokeswoman had no further information regarding Mr. Leenabanchong, and he couldn't be reached for comment.
Mr. Penaloza's latest assignment marks his return to Bangkok. He served there between 2001 and 2008, first as CIO and later as CEO, for Aberdeen Asset Management. Aberdeen and Standard Life merged in 2017.
With his departure to Bangkok, Michelle Lopez, Aberdeen Standard's deputy head of Australian equities, has been promoted to head of Australian equities.
The Aberdeen Standard spokeswoman said the deputy head of Australian equities role won't be filled.
