Dan Byrnes has been appointed president of AAM Insurance Investment Management, said a news release March 4.
It is a new position. Byrnes, who reports to Chairman and CEO John Schaefer, oversees the portfolio management team and continues his direct engagement with clients as a portfolio manager.
Byrnes joined AAM in 2003 and has served as a portfolio manager since 2006, working with numerous property and casualty, health, and life insurance clients.
A spokesperson said Byrnes will retain his portfolio manager title and duties.
AAM has $24 billion in assets under management.
