Kevin Dalmut, investment officer for the University of Iowa Center for Advancement's $1.1 billion endowment, died Tuesday, a spokeswoman for the Iowa City-based university center confirmed. He was 39.
The cause of death and details on the funeral are not being publicly disclosed.
Mr. Dalmut was with the university endowment since July 2019. Prior to joining the endowment, he was director of private market investments for the $1.5 billion University of Maryland System Foundation, Adelphi.
"Kevin brought his talent, insight, and enthusiasm to our group, and was an integral part of the investment team," said Jim Bethea, University of Iowa Center for Advancement vice president and chief investment officer, in an emailed statement. "He embraced our culture and was close to his colleagues, and he will be greatly missed."
