Arizona State Retirement System, Phoenix, is searching for a new chief investment officer.
The $40 billion pension fund is seeking a CIO to oversee its investment management division, according to a job listing posted on the state of Arizona's job board.
Karl Polen, the previous CIO, announced his retirement in November, spokesman David Cannella said in an email. Paul Matson, executive director, is currently serving as acting CIO, Mr. Cannella said.
The job listing is available on the state's job board. The listing will remain open until the position is filled. Mr. Cannella said the pension fund hopes to announce a selection around April 1.
