Citi will provide services including fund administration, global custody, transfer agency, agency securities lending and ETF services, said a Citigroup news release Friday.
"We have a longstanding relationship with Citi as a valued service provider to our funds," said Gerard O'Reilly, Dimensional's co-CEO and CIO, in the Citi news release.
DFA announced in a Nov. 17 release that it would convert six existing mutual funds to actively managed, transparent ETFs with total assets of about $26 billion.
"We believe these strategies fill a unique space in the market, providing the benefits of passive investing including low-cost diversified exposure to stocks, combined with the advantages of active investing such as higher expected returns, flexible trading, robust daily portfolio management and risk management," Mr. O'Reilly said in the Nov. 17 release.
DFA managed $527 billion as of Sept. 30.
