Wales Pension Partnership, Carmarthen, Wales, named the 14 underlying money managers running its fixed-income platform.
The £17.5 billion ($22.7 billion) pool of local authority funds invested an initial £2.9 billion run across five subfunds, according to its website. Russell Investments, hired in 2018 as the pool's manager, is the investment manager on four of the subfunds.
Wellington Management, Putnam Investments, Aegon Asset Management and Insight Investment were named subadvisers for the fund's £438 million absolute-return bond fund, launched in September. The split of the allocation could not immediately be learned.
Four subfunds were launched in July. Western Asset Management Co., MetLife Investment Management, Fidelity and T. Rowe Price were named subadvisers on the £790 million global credit fund. BlueBay Asset Management and Colchester Global Investors were named subadvisers on the £518 million global government bond fund.
Wales' website said Intermediate Capital Group, Man GLG, BlueBay, Barings and Voya Investment Management were named subadvisers on the £598 million multiasset credit fund; and Fidelity was named sole investment manager on a £547 million U.K. credit fund.
