PPG Industries Inc., Pittsburgh, added the BNY Mellon Small Cap Stock Index Fund collective investment trust to the investment options lineup of its 401(k) plan.
The plan in 2019 added the passive domestic small-cap equity CIT managed by Mellon Investments to the lineup, and the CIT had $180 million in assets in the plan as of Dec. 31, according to the company's 11-K filing Tuesday with the SEC.
Also during 2019, the plan removed the Vanguard Small Capitalization Index Fund from its lineup.
That fund had $165 million in assets in the plan as of Dec. 31, 2018, according to the company's prior 11-K filing.
The new filing did not provide a reason for the change.
As of Dec. 31, the PPG Industries Employee Savings Plan had $4 billion in assets, according to the new 11-K filing. Also as of that date, the plan had five individual mutual fund options, seven CIT options, a money market fund, stable value fund, common stock fund and target-date CIT lineup managed by BlackRock.
Company spokesman Mark Silvey could not immediately provide further information.
