Nick Chamie was named chief strategist at Investment Management Corp. of Ontario, spokesman Neil Murphy confirmed in an email.
The position is new. Mr. Chamie leads the active asset allocation, currency management and government fixed-income teams within the company's total portfolio and capital markets group. He reports to Patrick De Roy, senior managing director, total portfolio and capital markets.
Mr. Chamie was senior portfolio manager at the British Columbia Investment Management Corp., where he led the foreign exchange team's strategic hedging, tactical overlay, and overall investment strategy activities. British Columbia representatives could not immediately be reached for comment.
