Gary Chropuvka will join quantitative money manager WorldQuant as president in late 2020, according to a news release.
He will oversee the manager's operations, global business strategy and priority initiatives, the news release said. A spokesman could not immediately provide further information.
Mr. Chropuvka was previously co-head of the quantitative investment strategies team at Goldman Sachs Asset Management.
With his departure from GSAM, the team's other co-head, Armen A. Avanessians, will be the sole head of the quantitative investment strategies team, GSAM spokesman Patrick J. Scanlan said.
WorldQuant has about $7 billion in assets under management.
