Oklahoma Teachers' Retirement System, Oklahoma City, rehired Northern Trust Corp. as custodian, said Tom Spencer, executive director.
The $17.8 billion pension fund issued an RFP in December. There were no other finalists.
Separately, the pension fund named Brookfield Asset Management, J.P. Morgan Asset Management and Principal Real Estate Investors as finalists in its search for an open-end, core-plus real estate manager.
The pension fund issued an RFP in October and plans to hire no more than two managers for a total of up to $200 million, Mr. Spencer said. The finalists will make presentations at the fund's April 21 investment committee meeting, with a selection expected shortly afterward.
As of Sept. 30, the actual allocation to real estate was $1.26 billion, or about 7.4% of the total fund.
