University of Edinburgh is searching for an investment consultant for its Staff Benefits Scheme, according to a notice on European procurement website Tenders Electronic Daily.
The selected consultant will develop investment strategy, select, review and monitor the performance of investment managers against benchmarks and the overall investment performance of the £450 million ($575 million) plan.
The consultant will attend, support and arrange presentations made by incumbent or prospective investment managers and conduct quarterly reporting as well as attend four annual investment committee meetings. The consultant will also provide general advice with respect to the pension fund's investment activities, including trustee education.
Proposals are due by noon Jan. 10. Hymans Robertson is current consultant and the firm can rebid, a spokesman said.
