St. Louis Police Retirement System hired Logan Circle Partners to run $16 million in active emerging markets debt, recently released board meeting minutes show.
The $746 million pension fund conducted a shortlist search for an emerging markets debt manager to replace terminated global fixed income manager Pacific Investment Management Co.
The reason for the termination was not provided.
Separately, the pension fund terminated Brandes Investment Partners from a $38 million active international small-cap equity portfolio, citing poor performance. How the assets will be reallocated was not disclosed.
A Brandes spokeswoman could not be immediately reached to provide comment.
Investment consultant Marquette Associates assisted.
