Charles Prideaux was named global head of investment at Schroders, a spokesman said.
The position is new. Mr. Prideaux is responsible for the management, oversight and development of Schroders' investment platform along with the environmental, social and governance team and the data team.
Carolina Minio-Paluello was named global head of product, solutions and quant to replace Mr. Prideaux in that role. She is responsible for product, solutions and quant investment capabilities, and oversight of quantitative investment teams.
Ms. Minio-Paluello was global head of solutions at Lombard Odier Investment Managers. Ms. Minio-Paluello will not be replaced, a Lombard Odier IM spokeswoman said, adding that sales will continue to be led by Jonathan Clenshaw, head of institutional sales and Martin Thommen as head of LOIM third-party distribution.
Schroders' global head of multiasset investments, Johanna Kyrklund was also named group CIO. Additional details could not be learned. Alan Brown was previously CIO until his retirement in October 2014.
"Bringing together the central oversight of investment management and performance, as well as product development, will enhance our ability to meet clients' demands by developing innovative investment strategies and leverage our market-leading ESG, data insights and quant capabilities," said Peter Harrison, group CEO, in a news release.
Schroders had £444.4 billion ($563.9 billion) in assets under management as of June 30.
