Christophe Herpet has been named global head of AXA fixed income, the company said.
Mr. Herpet replaced Gilles Dauphine, who was previously global head of AXA fixed income and moved to Amundi last month to serve as head of euro alpha fixed income, according to a news release from Amundi.
Mr. Dauphine is replacing Marie Anne Allier who left the firm to pursue other opportunities, an Amundi spokeswoman said.
Mr. Dauphine left AXA IM at the end of May, a company spokeswoman said Tuesday in an email.
Mr. Herpet will be based in Paris and oversee AXA's fixed-income portfolios, and its buy and maintain strategy, effective June 27, reporting to Hans Stoter, global head of core investments, the AXA IM news release said.
Mr. Herpet joined AXA IM in 2004 as senior portfolio manager on the hedge fund and structured finance team and in 2010 moved to the fixed-income team, where he was responsible for managing fixed-income mandates and mutual funds, and sharing market ideas and investment strategies with AXA Group, the release said.
AXA IM had €750 billion ($841.2 billion) in assets under management as of March 31.
