University of Pittsburgh's endowment posted an investment return of 2.5% for its fiscal year ended June 30, compared to a policy benchmark return of 2.2%, said the university's annual report. The endowment's assets as of June 30 were $3.6 billion.
As of June 30, the endowment's asset allocation was about 20.6% each global equities and marketable alternatives, 17.3% non-marketable alternatives, 14.6% each to U.S. equities and real assets, 5% corporate fixed income, 4.7% government fixed income and 2.6% cash.
The endowment's annualized net returns for the three-, five- and 10-year periods ended June 30 were 9.8%, 10.7% and 7.5%, respectively, vs. policy benchmark returns of 8%, 8.7% and 6.2%, respectively.
