Dario Di Napoli was named managing director, institutional sales at Manulife Asset Management, said spokeswoman Beth McGoldrick.
Mr. Di Napoli will manage central and eastern Canada opportunities with plan assets less than $100 million. He will also assist with Manulife Asset Management's larger defined contribution plan relationships, working with the firm's group retirement solutions division.
He will report to Adam Neal, senior managing director, Canadian head of institutional sales and relationship management.
Mr. Di Napoli was director, asset management and client services at Westcourt Capital Corp. David Kaufman, Westcourt Capital president and CEO, said the company is not currently seeking a replacement.
Manulife Asset Management had about C$390 billion ($312 billion) assets under management as of June 30.
