Chicago Metropolitan Water Reclamation District Retirement Fund is searching for its first active emerging markets equity manager, said Susan Boutin, executive director.
The $1.3 billion pension fund has issued an RFP for a firm to manage $75 million; the funding source has yet to be determined, Ms. Boutin said.
While active international equity manager Vontobel Asset Management has some emerging markets exposure in its $60 million portfolio, this would be the pension fund's first dedicated emerging markets equity manager.
The RFP is available on the pension fund's website. Proposals are due at 3 p.m. CDT on Aug. 21. The board is expected to make a decision on Oct. 28.
