Peter Hebert has been named a senior vice president responsible for business development at the retirement services unit of BNY Mellon Investment Management.
It is a new position, spokeswoman Melissa Cassar said in an interview.
Mr. Hebert will emphasize working with “strategic defined contribution record keepers and insurance subadvisory opportunities,” said a BNY Mellon news release.
Mr. Hebert had been senior vice president and director for retirement and subadvisory services at Sentinel Investments, a unit of National Life Group. He left in early April.
“He has not been replaced,” Ross Sneyd, a spokesman for National Life Group, wrote in an e-mail. “For the time being, his duties have been assigned to others in the firm.”
Also, Alexander Schmiesing was named vice president in charge of business development at the BNY Mellon retirement services unit, “responsible for business development with an emphasis on national record keepers and variable annuity providers.” The position is new, Ms. Cassar said.
Mr. Schmiesing had been a vice president in the BNY Mellon insurance division, the news release said.
