Morgan Stanley promoted two senior executives, according to an internal memo obtained by Pensions & Investments.
Dan Simkowitz was named head of investment management, while Ted Pick was appointed global head of sales and trading.
Mr. Simkowitz will be responsible for overseeing traditional asset management, alternative investments and the firm’s merchant banking business. He will report directly to James P. Gorman, chairman and CEO of Morgan Stanley.
Mr. Pick will oversee institutional equities and fixed-income trading. He will report to Thomas Colm Kelleher, president of institutional securities at Morgan Stanley.
Mr. Simkowitz was co-head of global capital markets at Morgan Stanley, while Mr. Pick was head of global equities at the company.
