Simon Roberts joined BNP Paribas Investment Partners as head of the global equity team, to create a new institutional strategy, a spokeswoman said.
The money manager also hired Jonathan Barnett, James Mann and Stewart Lambert as senior portfolio managers on the same team.
All four positions are new, the spokeswoman said.
Mr. Roberts reports to Guy Davies, director-equities.
“Global equity expertise is key in the current environment and a clear priority for BNPP IP,” said David Kiddie, CEO of institutional business.
The quartet previously worked together at NewSmith Asset Management, said the Financial Services Authority register. They left late last year.
