Fred DeSerio was named head of institutional sales for North America at Nikko Asset Management in New York.
The position is new, said Jeanie Cheah, a Singapore-based spokeswoman for Nikko.
Mr. DeSerio was a managing director at Invesco.
Mr. DeSerio’s responsibilities have been absorbed by other members of Invesco’s institutional sales team, Invesco spokesman Bill Hensel said in an e-mail.
