As of Dec. 31, the Teacher Retirement System of Texas' private equity portfolio had a total exposure of $24.1 billion. Investment market values totaled $15.8 billion and unfunded commitments, $8.3 billion.
The fund's top 10 private equity relationships represent 53% of its total exposure.
KKR topped the list at $2.67 billion, with a market value of $1.79 billion and unfunded commitments of $876 million.
Apollo Global was the second largest at $2.48 billion (a market value of $1.01 billion and uncalled capital of $1.47 billion), followed by Blackstone with $1.78 billion (a $1.26 billion market value with $523 million in commitments).
TPG and GCM Grosvenor rounded out the top five at $968 million and $898 million, respectively.
