Chicago Park Employees' Annuity & Benefit Fund terminated hedge fund-of-funds manager K2 Advisors, said recently released board meeting minutes.
The reason for K2's termination could not be learned by press time. The $424.5 million pension fund had about $23.2 million invested with firm as of Sept. 30.
The pension fund also had about $24.4 million invested with hedge fund-of-funds manager EnTrust Capital as of Sept. 30.
Dean Niedospial, executive director of the pension fund, could not immediately be reached for additional information by press time.
