Julie Dean will join Sanditon Asset Management as a fund manager, said CEO Rupert Tyer.
The position is new, and Ms. Dean will join in March 2015, Mr. Tyer said. Sanditon, which has both institutional and retail clients through various fund structures, will launch a U.K. fund next year for Ms. Dean to manage.
Ms. Dean was previously a portfolio manager at Schroders, joining when the firm acquired Cazenove Capital Management last year. At the time of her departure, a spokeswoman for Schroders said she would not be replaced.
Sanditon was launched in June by four executives, including two of Ms. Dean’s former colleagues at Cazenove, Tim Russell and Chris Rice.
Mr. Tyer said Sanditon has about £300 million ($484.7 million) in assets under management.
