Haines City, Fla., is searching for a provider for a new 401(a) plan, said Donald Carter, finance director.
The estimated employee enrollment date is Nov. 14.
The city currently administers a $14.9 million defined benefit plan and voluntary 457 plan for general employees.
Mr. Carter said the defined benefit plan will be frozen and all general employees will be shifted to the 401(a) plan, probably by the start of 2015.
The RFP can be found on the procurement website Onvia DemandStar.
The deadline for proposals is 3 p.m. EDT on Oct. 17. Interviews are tentatively scheduled for Oct. 27, with a hiring decision in November.
