Giles Money joined PIMCO as a senior vice president and portfolio manager focused on global growth equity strategies, said spokeswoman Agnes Crane in an e-mail Thursday.
The position is new. Mr. Money will be based in London.
Mr. Money had been a global portfolio manager and global sector specialist focused on materials and utilities at Schroders in London. Officials at Schroders were not immediately available for comment as to whether they have replaced Mr. Money or are conducting a search.
Pacific Investment Management Co. also announced it that it had hired Lucrecia Tam as a senior vice president and equity analyst focused on industrials. The position is also new. Ms. Tam also worked at Schroders, where she was an equity analyst focused on industrials.
