Clackamas Fire District #1 Deferred Compensation and Matching Plans, Milwaukie, Ore., recommended hiring Hyas Group as its first investment consultant, said Susan Geiger, fire district finance director, in an e-mail.
The deferred compensation committee made the recommendation.
The district, which oversees a 401(a) plan and 457 plan with combined assets of $20 million, issued an RFP in May for a consultant to help the district eventually simplify the plans, which currently have seven record keepers with dozens of investment options.
The district’s board of directors will vote to approve the recommendation on Aug. 18.
The other finalists were Heintzberger Payne and SST Benefits Consulting.
