Mississippi Office of the State Treasurer, Jackson, is searching for an investment consultant for the state's $295 million 529 plan, confirmed Mike Bishop, staff office II, cash and investments.
The Mississippi Prepaid Affordable College Tuition Fund has a total of seven investment managers and has investments in domestic and international equities, fixed income, and timber, according to the RFP. Information regarding the current consultant could not be learned by press time.
The RFP can be obtained by contacting Mr. Bishop at 601-359-3600. Proposals are due at 3 p.m. CDT on March 24. A decision is expected April 7.
Mr. Bishop referred questions to Misti Preziosi, chief investment officer, who was not available to provide further information by press time.
