Riverside Co. has closed its $1.5 billion private equity fund Riverside Capital Appreciation Fund VI 50% above its $1 billion target, confirmed Graham Hearns, a Riverside managing director, in an e-mail.
The fund closed in December. The fund aims to invest in small- to medium-sized companies.
Investors in the fund include the $44.9 billion Los Angeles County Employees’ Retirement Association; Oregon Investment Council, which runs the $61 billion Oregon Public Employees Retirement Fund; and $13.7 billion Ohio Police & Fire Pension Fund.
