UPS results could be positive sign for U.S. economy

In what could be a positive sign for the U.S. economy, UPS reported a 3% increase in its average daily package volume in its third quarter earnings release. The increase is the largest third-quarter change since 2010. Going back to 2009, this metric has a correlation with quarterly U.S. GDP growth of 0.93.
