Fort Worth (Texas) Employees' Retirement Fund hired William Blair & Co. to run $30 million in emerging markets equity, confirmed Robert Hulme, interim executive director/chief investment officer.
Funding comes from rebalancing in the international equity portfolio. Investment consultant R.V. Kuhns & Associates assisted. Harding Loevner and American Century Investments were also finalists.
Separately, the $2 billion pension fund named eight finalists for a manager to run $30 million in active domestic all-cap equity. The finalists are Cramer Rosenthal McGlynn, Epoch Investment Partners, Jennison Associates, Morgan Stanley Investment Management, Primecap, Vaughan Nelson, Westwood Management and William Blair.
A hiring decision is expected in January. Funding will come from rebalancing.
