Among actively managed ETFs, PIMCO's Total Return ETF is considered one of the most successful thanks in large part to its strong inflows. The ETF brought in 16.3% of its $4.3 billion in assets in the first quarter of 2013. The inflows prompted P&I Online to ask: What factors do you think are necessary for an active ETF to attract investors?
Readers were offered four answers including all of the above, which received the largest response at 57.3%. The other options were transparency, 6.1%; track record, 24.4%; and brand name, 12.2%.
The poll was in conjunction with a web story titled "PIMCO's Total Return ETF is an exception."
