Alabama Trust Fund Board, Montgomery, is searching for an active international small-cap equity manager to run $25 million, according to an RFP posted on state Treasurer Young Boozer's website.
The funding source could not be learned by press time. Interested firms must manage at least $150 million in international small-cap equity portfolios as of March 31, according to the RFP.
The $3.3 billion trust fund currently has a 13% current allocation to international equity and 9% target allocation. GMO runs $65 million in an international small-cap equity strategy.
Investment consultant Callan Associates is assisting.
The RFP is available on the treasurer's website. Proposals are due at 5 p.m. EDT June 28. A hiring date was not specified.
