Steve Lekki was named senior vice president, portfolio management, at Bentall Kennedy, confirmed spokeswoman Jennifer Arnold.
It is a new position.
Mr. Lekki will serve as portfolio manager on a separate account with the $265.5 billion California Public Employees' Retirement System, Sacramento, that will focus on core industrial properties in the U.S.
CalPERS acquired a one-third stake in Bentall Kennedy in June.
Mr. Lekki will report to Michael McKee, CEO, Bentall Kennedy U.S.
Mr. Lekki was most recently a director with RREEF where he was responsible for developing the strategic direction and financial management of a $500 million portfolio of properties for CalPERS. Spokeswoman Pholida Barclay could not provide information on his replacement by press time.
