Mr. Piwowar has been chief economist for the committee since 2009. He served with the Council of Economic Advisers and the Financial Regulatory Reform Working Group of the President's Economic Recovery Advisory Board, and as an SEC senior financial economist from 2004 to 2006. He would replace Troy Paredes and serve until June 2018.
